Within my Writing and Rhetoric II class at DePaul University, we were instructed to create an argumentative essay to submit to a journal. I chose my topic to be based on the Lesbian experience and presented the harmful and lack of representation in film and television. Being queer myself, I chose to analyze media that I am familiar with and argue that representation can and is moving in the right direction for Lesbian representation in the media, little by little.
